Most people brush their teeth. Some even floss. But a lot forget about something big: their tongue.
Let’s talk about it.
🛏️ What Happens While You Sleep?
- While you’re sleeping, your mouth relaxes and, possibly, opens up.
- You’re not chewing or drinking water.
- This helps bacteria and gunk build up on your tongue overnight.
- What is that white or yellow stuff you see? It’s not just spit—it’s old food particles, dead cells, and bacteria.
- If you don’t remove it in the morning, it goes back into your system when you eat or drink
🧼 What Tongue Scraping Does for You
- ✅ Helps you taste food better – Your taste buds work better when they’re clean.
- ✅ Keeps your breath fresh – Bacteria that cause bad breath mostly live on your tongue.
- ✅ Fights off germs – Less bacteria in your mouth = fewer chances for cavities and gum problems.
- ✅ Wakes you up – The feeling of a clean tongue makes your whole mouth feel fresh.
🛠️ What I Use (NO PLASTIC!)
I don’t use plastic tools. I stick to:
- Copper tongue scraper – Copper has been used in traditional health practices for centuries. It naturally reduces germs and stays clean if you rinse it well after each use.
- Stainless steel scraper – strong, easy to clean, and lasts a long time.
Just rinse it after each use. It doesn’t rust.
🏋️♂️ Morning Tongue Workout (Easy Steps)
- Stand in front of a mirror.
- Stick out your tongue.
- Hold the scraper with both hands.
- Place it at the back of your tongue (as far as is comfortable).
- Gently pull it forward in one slow stroke.
- Rinse the scraper.
- Repeat 5 to 7 times.
- Rinse your mouth. Done.
This takes less than 1 minute. But it makes a big difference.
If you care about clean teeth, don’t skip your tongue. It’s not just a trend. It’s simple science.
🪥 Your toothbrush can’t do it all. But your tongue scraper? It’s got one job—and it does it well.
